On Campus
LGBTQ Student Association (LGBTQSA) – one of UT’s Student Clubs
“The LGBT Student Association is a club where any student, regardless of their sexual orientation, can meet new people, have fun, and be themselves. Our club is very active on campus and we regularly participate and host campus events throughout the year. Some of the past years events include: Don’t Sweat It, The Pajama Jam, Transgender Remembrance Day, National Coming Out Day, and Valentines D. These club events have not only been a blast to be apart of, but have helped make Utah Tech University a more open and accepting place for its students.” The LGBTQSA meets every Tuesday from 4-5pm in Holland Building Room 477.
Center for Inclusion and Belonging – The Center for Inclusion and Belonging (CIB) is a student support service established to increase diversity at Utah Tech University via the recruitment and retention of students from diverse backgrounds and the enrichment of campus life through cultural and awareness activities. The CIB accomplishes this goal through scholarship opportunities, community outreach, academic advisement, and diversity club participation. The CIB operates under the principle that every person’s unique life experiences enrich campus life and adds a profound element to a true education.
UT recently started a Diversity and Inclusion Committee comprised of faculty, staff, and campus security. We look for input from students so that we may address LGBTQ+ concerns. Contact the LGBTQ+ Resource Center to have your ideas shared at the next monthly meeting.
